This DIY modification allows the 2007-2010 Acura MDX & 2009-2010 Nissan Maxima HID Projector lens holder to adapt to our Prisma Line clear lens, providing a sharp, intense & colorful wide cutoff.

1. Remove the stock MDX lens from the lens holder.

2. As seen in the pictures below both our Prisma Line clear lens & the OEM E30 lens will have approximately 1mm of vertical movement between the lens & the lens holder clips when installed.

3. To elimate the 1mm in vertical movement an 18 gauge wire will be used. This mod can also be used with any OEM E30 lens.

4. The 18 gauge wire will need to be formed & cut with space between the wire ends. This will allow for the wire to hold tight against the inner lens holder.

5. Once the 18 gauge wires is tight & secure around the inner lens holder our Prisma Line lens can be installed over the wire.

6. This simple mod will provide a sharp & colorful cutoff. If additional color is wanted in the cutoff, we have provided additional instructions for the washer modification.

7. The washer mod will provide additional color in the cutoff. The washers used are #8 and are place on top of the cutoff shield. This is done to space the cutoff shield from the lens holder.

The results below from the washer mod is approximately 30ft-35ft away. As seen the cutoff is slightly less sharp then the 18 gauge wire mod however the color in the cutoff is increased.

This DIY mod will allow the stock SC430 Projector lens bezel holder to sit perfectly flush around our Prisma Line clear lens, preventing any movement and providing a colorful wide cutoff. The modification is very similar to the RX330 since the SC430 and RX330 share the same lens holder.

1. Remove the stock lens and lens bezel holder.

2. As seen in the before and after pictures below, the mounting tab on the lens bezel holder will need to be slightly bent outward.

3. Once both sides are slightly bent outward install the Prisma Line clear lens and lens bezel holder on the projector to determine and mark for the new drill hole locations.

4. The recommend drill bit is slightly smaller than the existing lens holder holes. The locations will only vary by a few mm and may over lap or continue from the existing holes.

5. Once the new holes have been drilled. The small excess of metal of each side will need to be removed since the SC430 has a metal surround below the lens holder. If the surround is removed to for a  shroud this step will not be necessary. Install the Prisma Line lens, modified lens holder and mounting screws. The lens bezel holder will now sit slightly lower on the projector and remove any vertical movement in the lens.

2. As seen in the before and after pictures below, the mounting tab on the lens bezel holder will need to be slightly bent outward.

3.  Once both sides are slightly bent outward install the Prisma Line clear lens and lens bezel holder on the projector to determine and mark  for the new drill hole locations.

4. The recommend drill bit is slightly smaller than the existing lens holder holes. The locations will only vary by a few mm and may over lap or continue from the existing holes.

5. Once the new holes have been drilled reinstall the lens, the lens holder and mounting screws. Since the lens bezel holder will sit slightly lower on the projector and remove any movement in the lens.
